No crust is good crust. And if you know like most of us gals out here fighting the good fight of keeping crust away, somehow the lips is the area hardest to win in battle. With hundreds of over-the-counter products that promise to be the holy grail of moisturization it can be a real pain navigating the lip balm aisle. No worries, we're here to help! Below we're going to share with you these all natural DIY treats you can use as weekly treatments to help
keep your pucker on point!

Oatmeal Tea Tree Scrub

Picture

Ingredients:
1 teaspoon Olive Oil
4-6 drops of Tea Tree Oil
1 Tablespoon of Granulated Sugar
pinch of Salt
2 pinches of Quick Oats
small bowl for mixing and storage
Instructions:

Combine all of the ingredients and stir until fully blended Be sure to mix enough sugar so that your scrub is a soft paste like consistency with no left over oil sitting at the bottom of your cup. Apply to your lips and gently scrub for 60 seconds. Rinse with warm water until all the sugar is removed. You can also use this scrub on your face and body! Also great for softening feet! Refrigerate mix for up to 3 days.
Measurements here are approximate. Mix to make the amount you desire. This recipe yield's a tablespoon which translates to about four lip scrub applications.

Sweet Tea Lip Mask

Instructions:
Activate the tea bag by adding it to a cup of hot water (or make yourself a cup of tea!) Open the bag and remove the amount desired for the mask. Mix the tea and the honey until you get a thick paste-like consistency. Apply to lips and let sit up to 3 minutes. Rinse with cool water. Discard any leftovers.

After these treatments apply a little oil to your lips and voila! Supper supple simplicity. And hey, why not but if for the alliteration, check out @Swoozie on YouTube and his hiLARious video about working at Disney!
